Service Description

Yin yoga is a slow, grounding style of yoga that targets deep connective tissues—fascia, ligaments, and joints rather than surface‑level muscles. Instead of flowing from pose to pose, you settle into postures, largely on the floor, for several minutes at a time. The stillness is intentional; it promotes healthy connective tissue, helps the body return to its natural range of motion, and develops mindfulness using breath and body awareness. Yin isn’t about stretching harder; it’s about softening, noticing, and allowing. Many people describe it as equal parts physical practice and meditative reset. We use props to mitigate overstretching, physically support most bodies, and continue to seek balance between challenge and ease. Precautions: This class is not suitable during pregnancy due to increased laxity. While modifications and adaptations will be offered, those with osteoporosis and osteoarthritis (and other joint conditions) in specific joints are responsible for their own safety and for effective communication with the teacher prior to the session, so that they can support your practice. Please bring layers and socks to stay comfortable. You will need a yoga mat, a cushion, and a blanket.
