COVID-19

icpc Health continues to make the safety of our customers and staff our top priority. We follow all government guidelines, as well as those of our professional bodies.

 

Is icpc Health open during the pandemic?

Yes. We continue to offer face-to-face appointments for physiotherapy and podiatry. We also continue our programme of online classes and virtual physiotherapy appointments. As registrants of the Health Care Professions Council, ICPC Podiatrists and Physiotherapists and our support staff are able to see patients in person (as well as online) during the pandemic. We are considered keyworkers and a key part of the healthcare workforce.

How is icpc Health ensuring the safety of patients and staff?

Ensuring the health and safety of all patients and staff remains our top priority. We maintain strict hygiene rules as set out by the Scottish Government and the professional bodies we're associated with. For more information, please see the Health & Care Professions Council website. Our efforts to reduce transmission include, but are not limited to:

wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as apron, gloves, facemask and eye protection

extra cleaning

additional disinfection between patients

staff hygiene

social distancing

staggering appointments to ensure our waiting room is not crowded

increasing the space between waiting room chairs

screens around the reception area and clinic roomsoffering additional hand sanitation stations for patients

the entire clinic is professionally misted every 21 days (a procedure that is effective for 28 days)

What should I expect when visiting the practice?

On arrival, please:

arrive 10 minutes before your appointment time

park as near to the front entrance as you can and wait in your car until your clinician comes out to get you

wear a face covering - we can supply masks for a charge of £1 per mask if you forget to bring own

attend the appointment on your own (unless you have a specific need to be accompanied)

keep your mobile phone at hand

Before your appointment:

your clinician will contact you when they are ready to see you - either on the mobile number you provided or by coming to your car

you will be asked some questions regarding your COVID status and to consent to your contact details being shared with NHS Public Health for Test & Protect

Leave your coat, gloves and all accessory items in your car

Your clinician will meet you at the clinic entrance and ask you to use the hand sanitiser provided

Maintain physical distancing guidelines where possible

 

After your appointment, please:

follow all advice given by clinical and reception staff

use the hand sanitiser provided at the clinic exit

maintain physical distancing guidelines where possible

 

Making payment and booking further appointments​:

The easiest, quickest and most convenient way to book and pre-pay is online via our website.

You can pay your fee by debit or credit card and book your return appointment at Reception.

Contactless payments are accepted up to £45.​

Please note: We can no longer accept payment in cash.

Under what circumstances can I not visit the practice?

We hope that you understand that we cannot treat you in-person if any one of the four circumstances below is true for you:

You, or anyone in your household returned from any restricted areas in the past 10 days

You've had close contact with someone diagnosed with COVID-19 in the past 10 days

You have experienced any cold- or flu-like symptoms in the past 10 days

You currently have any of the following symptoms:

a fever (high temperature), a cough (new and continuous), a sore throat, a respiratory illness or breathing difficulties, a loss of the sense of taste or smell, a new skin rash on any part of your body.

Please notify us immediately if: any of the above circumstances are true at the time of booking or at any time prior to your appointment date

you develop any of the above symptoms within 10 days after your appointment.

We will happily rearrange your appointment for a future date or, where possible, move it online.Your cooperation on this helps to protect our staff and other patients from potential transmissions from asymptomatic patients.

 

If your Clinician tests positive for COVID-19, icpc Health has a duty of care to provide your contact details to the Test & Protect contact tracing team.
